Researcher, Université du Québec Trois-Rivières, Québec/Canada
A graduate of McGill University’s Faculty of Management, Pierre Gratton has held various marketing, management and strategic leadership roles in national and multinational companies throughout his career. Entrepreneur at heart, he has also created several SMEs in the field of production, event promotion and entertainment business management. Pierre has recently earned the mention of excellence for the defense of his doctoral thesis in business administration (DBA) at the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières (UQTR) where he teaches entrepreneurship, venture creation, management and business strategy. The ambition of his thesis is to offer an in-depth explanation of the negotiation process of buying or selling a SME. His research led him to discover the existence of a series of four doors that vendors and acquirers have to cross before being able to finalize a purchase and sale agreement.
